Child support is one of the most contentious issues to arise during a divorce or separation. The Colorado child support statute is complex and confusing and is based on a number of factors.

Like many states, Colorado has a system in place used to calculate child support. The amount is determined in part on the gross monthly income of each parent, as well as the number of overnights with each parent.
